Types of Funds

Community Funds

Want to make a gift of less than $25,000? Then consider donating to our Community Funds. Your gift will be pooled with others to provide grants. We offer Community Funds in the following areas:

*Arts and culture
*Civic leadership
*Educational achievement
*Environment
*General grantmaking
*Health and human services
*Scholarships

Gifts can be made online  or by sending a check to  Hampton Roads Community Foundation, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 4500, Norfolk, VA 23510.

Types of Funds
We administer six types of endowed funds invested to grow over time while a portion is used each year for grants or scholarships. You can create a new named permanent fund with a gift of $25,000 or more. At any time, you can give any size gift to an existing fund. We charge modest administrative fees for funds.
