Michelle Washington is vice president for communications and marketing. Before joining the Foundation in December 2023, she was the director of communications for Norfolk Public Schools and a public relations manager for the City of Norfolk. She also worked in print journalism for more than 20 years, including at The Virginian-Pilot.

Michelle is a graduate of Washington & Lee University.
